On a recent trip to Belgrade, John Gery met with poet, scholar, and long-time friend Richard Berengarten (Richard Burns), to discuss the history and future of Serbia. The two were interviewed by Marina Vulićević, journalist for Belgrade’s leading newspaper, Politika, where both men advocated for the importance of political awareness amongst Serbia’s youth, and the potential for Serbia’s image to change and evolve, on an international scale.
